As a midwife in Wyoming I often find myself crossing the continental divide. I also assist women in crossing the divide from maiden to mother and babies crossing the divide from intrauterine to extrauterine life. While I firmly believe (and am backed by scientific evidence) that natural birth is best for mother and baby, I recognize that there are times we have to cross the divide to medicine for the best outcomes for mother and baby.
